Arsenal will be hoping to keep their perfect start to the Premier League season when they visit Newcastle on Saturday night, following their defeat to West Ham in the Carabao Cup.
On Wednesday night, an ineffective Gunners team was unable to score while an effective Hammers team advanced to the competition’s quarterfinals at Arsenal’s expense. Conversely, Newcastle dominated Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford and had a fantastic night in the cup.
Now, both teams are focused on this weekend’s important Premier League match.
Since the Gunners’ 2-0 victory at St. James’ Park last season, only Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund have triumphed away from Newcastle. It was one of their best performances of the season.

The Magpies will be without important players on both sides of the ball, but their deputies have shown themselves to be capable in recent weeks. Last season, Arsenal had a great showing on Tyneside; this weekend, they’ll need to replicate that under the lights.
Both their offense and defense have been excellent for Newcastle. All things considered, the Gunners have an extremely difficult game ahead of them despite their undefeated record. They haven’t looked great at the beginning of 2023–2024.
This Saturday, I believe they could suffer their first Premier League loss of the year.
Arsenal 2-1 Newcastle is the prediction.
